MILESTONE VIDEOS

These are the original school projects I directed, filmed, and edited that I consider to be the stepping stones of my growing skills in filmography.

"Toy With Me"

This was a Millikin project and chosen for presentation at the Images In Motion Film Festival of the Millikin School of Art and Creative Media. It is a psychological horror short film about a child playing a disturbing story with toys with the mother way outside the bubble of the child's imagination. A full POV film, it includes stop-motion, green screen, and color correction and grading. It was inspired by an old indie horror game, "BonBon."

"Bloodshed On Homestead"

This was a Millikin project designed to be a single scene for a potential full-length slasher film. It is simply me playing as a woman being stalked by the masked assassin, played by my father. I surveyed a shooting location provided by our friend and came up with camera angles that add suspense by making the audience either carefully look for the assassin hiding in them or wonder which corner he'll turn up at.

Open House Video For HTA

This is a video I was put in total charge of for Heartland Technical Academy. It was for "open house" events to encourage new students to join the vocational class. I collected b-roll off and on during the class and organized the editing to make it sound narrative. My professor told me he continued using this video long after I had finished my two years with him.

"Never Stop the Vehicle in Africa!"

This is a stop-motion, green-screened, silent short film I created for Heartland Technical Academy. I utilized my plastic animal collection to convey a story about two people on a safari; one has a pleasant experience and the other gets attacked by the animals. I also used the software, MagicScore Maestro, to create a music track for it.

Music Video

This is a video project I created for my first year at Heartland Technical Academy. It was the first time I ever used Adobe Premiere Pro, so I had fun playing around with green screen effects and stop-motion, and I also filmed my own sunrise time lapse.
